6 Weeks In
Rest, results, and a very good TV lineup
It has been six weeks since my surgery and I am feeling fantastic. My recovery went pretty much exactly as predicted, which is not something I take for granted. I know how differently this can go for people.
Part of why it went so smoothly is that I gave myself the time to actually rest. I did not rush back to full time live cam shows. My friend Jacob was there for me through all of it, emotionally and financially, and having that kind of support made it possible for me to slow down instead of pushing through.
I took a lot of naps these past few weeks. On top of good quality sleep at night, all that extra rest added up. I really do think it made the difference in how smooth this recovery has been. Your body does the actual healing while you sleep, so giving it more chances to do that work only helped.
I also treated myself to a month of Apple TV and finally got caught up on my streaming list. I tore through Silo, Severance, The Morning Show, Platonic, Your Friends and Neighbors, Widow’s Bay, and Shrinking. I am still a few episodes behind on Cape Fear but I will get there. It turns out recovery is a pretty great excuse to just sit still and watch good television for once.
Now that I am on the other side of it, I am so pleased with the results. My shape feels proportional now, more of an hourglass than before, and it just feels like me. The sensation has fully come back too, which was one of the things I was most curious about going in. I like how they feel to the touch. They sit higher than they used to, rounder as well, but I cannot see the shape of the implants themselves no matter what position I am in. They just look and feel like a natural part of my body.
On the business side of things, I have been slowly working through organizing my video inventory. I am moving my paysite over to a new server and a new content management system, and with the amount of content I have built up over the years, uploading everything one video at a time was going to take forever. I have switched to having the whole library moved in bulk instead, which is a much better use of my time. Once that transfer is done, I will spend about a week making sure everything is compliant with the new billing setup before I flip the switch. The upside is that once I am on the new system, I will have a lot more flexibility to make changes to the site myself going forward, and that is something I am genuinely looking forward to.
More updates soon, on both fronts.
